Coaches
This is Caroline Winstead’s third year coaching for Woodbridge Valley. She was on summer swim teams since she was 5, and a Bluefin for 9 years. She has assisted with the 8 and under swimmers for a long time, and taught private lessons for about 3 years. She graduated high school last May and is currently attending Community College of Baltimore County for Early Childhood Education until she transfers to Towson in the fall. Caroline loved being a part of a swim team community and her favorite event to swim was 100 freestyle or 100 IM. She loves being at the pool and helping out whenever it’s needed, and is very excited to coach this summer!
This is Kaylee Ofstead's third year coaching the Bluefins. She is a sophomore studying Biology at The College of New Jersey. She's been a donut-eating Bluefin for 13 years, a YCM swimmer for 6, and a YCM coach for 2. While Kaylee is no longer a swimmer for the Bluefins, she has continued her love for the sport in college and is now captain of the men's and women's club swim team. Kaylee is so excited to start coaching the next generation of Bluefins, especially in her favorite stroke: Butterfly. She can't wait to meet both parents and swimmers this summer and looks forward to seeing you at practice!
This is Shayna's first year of coaching on the Bluefins. She was on the Bluefins for 5 years and then had been a helper for the 8 and under swimmers since the age of 12! She has taught private lessons for about 2 years now and is the head lifeguard at the pool this summer! She is a sophomore at the University of Tampa studying advertising and public relations. Shayna loves helping the little kids learn how to swim and her favorite style of swimming is breaststroke! She is so excited to see you all at the pool this summer!
