Hello, Bluefin Fans!

It's that time of year again! Registration for the 2023 Woodbridge Valley Bluefins Swim Season is now OPEN! You can find everything you need to know about the swim team on our Swimtopia site: https://wvbluefins.swimtopia.com. Please note: the website will be updated as we get information. Please feel free to reach out with specific questions.

NEW THIS YEAR: The following are the team fees for the 2023 Bluefin season. They include AAU insurance, CMSL league fees, and all dual and tri meets* this season. Note: There is also an additional $3.00 surcharge per swimmer for our meet software.

• First swimmer: $125.00
• Second swimmer: $90.00
• Third swimmer: $85.00
• Each additional swimmer is $50.00, not to exceed $400.

*Some invitational meets have additional fees.

Fees can be paid with a check made out to Woodbridge Valley Pool (put "Swim Team Registration" and your swimmer’s name on the memo line) or with a credit card right on the registration page(with a small convenience charge).

SAVE THE DATES: Practices will begin on Tuesday, May 30th (first Tuesday after Memorial Day). Practice times are still being finalized and will be shared with everyone as soon as they are set. The parent meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 8th (RAIN DATE: Friday, June 9th).

This year Woodbridge Valley is in Division 7 and the schedule is as follows:

• June 17th - Time Trials @ HOME
• June 24th - @ North Carroll
• July 1st - @ Taylor Village
• July 8th - HOME vs. Crofton CC
• July 15th - Tri-Meet @ Navy Juniors, with Two Rivers
• July 22nd - HOME vs. Springdale
• July 29th - Divisionals @ Crofton Village
• July 29th - End of Season Celebration @ WVP (Rain Date: July 30th)

And, last but not least, Team Rep Trainee &Swim Team Committees. This will be my last year as the swim team rep. We need a parent or two (or three) to step up to train this year to take over the position in 2024. If you are interested in becoming the swim team rep for the 2024 season, please feel free to contact me to discuss what this is all about. This position can be shared with 2 or 3 people, so talk to your summer buddies to see if they would like to do this job with you. WE NEED YOU! Besides working the required number of jobs as a part of your swim team commitment, there are a few other jobs that could use some extra help. I've created a Google form to collect contact information for adults who are interested in helping with specific committees this season. If we could get 2-3 adults to help out with these committees/events, we will have an awesome season!
