I hope everyone is enjoying their Wednesday so far! Today was the first day of morning practices, which means the pool will now open at 12:00 pm every day. To me, that always meant that summer vacation was beginning!

Here are some very IMPORTANT Wednesday reminders for you. Please read everything and check out the attachments, too.

Time Trials: SIGN UP! SIGN UP! SIGN UP! Please be sure to sign into your SwimTopia account and declare your swimmer as ATTENDING or NOT ATTENDING Time Trials by 11:59 pm today. As Toni said in her earlier email, there will be no adding swimmers to the rosters at the last minute. If you haven’t declared your swimmer by Wednesday at 11:59 pm each week, they won’t be swimming during the meets on Saturdays.

Volunteer Jobs: SIGN UP! SIGN UP! SIGN UP! Please be sure to sign into your SwimTopia account and sign up for jobs during Time Trials by 11:59 pm today. We have some holes in our job list right now that we NEED to get filled. We need an announcer, timers, table workers, and clerk of course volunteers to be able to run the meet smoothly. Please don’t wait until the last minute to fill these jobs. If you are new and don’t know what these jobs are - that’s OK! We will make sure that you get some on-the-job training before the meet starts. Job descriptions can be found HERE.

Practices: A request from our coaches - “Please keep the deck cleared during practices. We have a lot to cover during practices and want to have the team’s full attention when they are in the pool.” Please allow our coaches to coach. During practices, stay clear of the area at the end of the pool where the coaches are standing. There is plenty of seating around the rest of the pool for parents to wait during practices. If there is something that you need to discuss with the coaches, please feel free to email them directly or talk to them before or after practice.

Team Mailbox: The Bluefin mailbox is up to date with all the swimmers’ last names. Please check the mailbox (file box with fish on it on the bench next to the lifeguard office) for information about the season and Swim Buddy forms. As the season progresses, this will also be where ribbons are placed 24-48 hours after each swim meet.
