Good Morning, Bluefins!

Here’s what you need to know about our meet at HOME vs. Crofton Country Club

When is the meet?: This Saturday, 7/8

What time do we have to be there?:

7:00 am - Set Up Crew: If you have signed up to set up the meet, please arrive at 7:00 am.

7:50 am - Arrive at 7:50 am. Bluefins warm up at 8:00 am on the dot. We only get about 15 minutes for warm-ups and then the other team gets to warm up. Be sure your swimmer is at the pool on time. There will be no other opportunity for warm-ups once they are done.

9:00 am - Meet starts, it’s over once all the events have been completed.

WEATHER: It looks like it should be a sunny day tomorrow, but just in case, please know, if it does rain, WE WILL STILL SWIM! If there is thunder or lightning in the area, there will be a delay, but we will still continue with the meet if it is only raining.

BLUEFIN FAN AREA: For home meets, the Bluefins set up our tents in the grass near the shallow end and the deck where the loungers usually are. Please keep the hill available for the Freedom swim team.

CONCESSIONS: If you are a concessions worker, please report to the snack bar at 7:45 am to begin set up. If you have signed up to bring something for concessions, please be sure to bring them to the snack bar already prepped (fruit and veggies should be washed and already cut up so that the concessions workers can put things together). Be sure to bring cash: One of our parents, Trevor Needham, will be smoking some pork and making homemade sauce and slaw! You won’t want to miss out on the pulled pork sandwiches (while supplies last)!

PARKING:  Please try to park along the street and save some of the parking lot parking for the visiting team. The spot closest to the pool is reserved for our paid official. Be careful about parking too close to the stop sign as many people run the stop sign and we don’t want any accidents.

FROM OUR SWIM BUDDIES COMMITTEE:

Everyone should have gotten a poster board this week to decorate a poster for their swim buddies. The Swim Buddies committee will be hanging the posters along the fence for all to see! 

JOBS:

WE HAVE MOST JOBS FILLED!  Still looking for 1 full meet concessions worker and at least 1 table worker.  2 would be great so you can tag in and out.

PARENT - COACH RELAY:

We may have a Parent/Coach relay at the end of the meet for fun. If you are interested in swimming in this fun event, let Coach Ryan or Coach Lydia know.
