Good Morning, Bluefins-

Happy Friday! Can you believe that we are almost at the end of the 2023 swim season? We have just 2 more meets before Divisionals and our End of Season Party on the 29th.

What you need to know about our tri-meet from the team rep at Navy Jrs.

We're located at the "South Severn Pool" - on Rt 450 right across from the Naval Academy's Gate 8. Here is a link: https://goo.gl/maps/tPgv1cPzoW3rZ71P7.

Our pool is 8 lanes and we will use all 8.

Two Rivers warmups will start at 0820 and Woodbridge will start at 0840. (From me: Be at the pool by 8:30!)

We rent our pool space and we have to be out of the water by noon so we will try to start promptly at 0900.

I've also attached a "map" of our pool area. As you can see, parking is not the best. We'll save some spots for you guys right out front, but you might want to consider dropping stuff off in front of the pool, then parking in one of the other lots indicated. You can also park on Badger and Sellers Roads, but do not park in any of the spaces reserved for military housing. I've highlighted parking areas with pink.

We'll also have concessions (cash preferred).

Since the meet has to be done no later than 12:00 pm, this meet will run as quickly as possible to get all the events in. There are relay teams on the other teams who are trying to qualify for Straehles, let’s help them get the opportunity. PLEASE HAVE YOUR SWIMMERS READY TO SWIM! Make sure you are listening to each event that is called and have your kids head the clerk of course in time for their events. If you are volunteering for jobs, be ready to go when it is time for you to start!

SWIM BUDDIES

This week have your swimmer make a card or write some words of advice for their swim buddy.

PICTURES

Tonight before the potluck! Have your swimmer wear their team suit. Pictures will begin promptly at 6:30 on the hill. I have a work event that I have to attend so Marlena and Elizabeth will be there to assist the photographers with organizing the kids. Because it can be like herding cats, please stick around to assist in organizing the kids. The quicker the group picture is done, the sooner Potluck can begin. :-) The photographer will also be taking individual/sibling pictures if you want. See attachments for more details.

**I’m aware there is a chance for rain. I have reached out to the photographer to see if we can have a rain date. Please check your email/SwimTopia prior to leaving for the pool for any last-minute changes.**
