Good Afternoon, Bluefins!

What. A….Meet. ;-) In my 10 years as a Bluefin parent, there is at least one meet each season that sticks in my head for whatever reason - crazy thunderstorms, long meets due to slow officials, and now…the tri-meet with 2 clerk of courses! I want to sincerely thank all the parents and swimmers who really showed up and showed the other teams at today’s meet how much of a class act you all are. I’m so proud of each and every one of you for taking a crappy situation and rolling with it. In the end, the Bluefins came out on top with a score of 384 to 309 to 147. Way to go!

Broken Records:

Jack Wiggins has broken his previous records for the 100 IM and 50 Fly and added a broke record for 50 Breast to his list this season.

Straehle Qualifiers:

Olivia Vandewinckel for 100 IM.

Ribbons will be in the mailbox by Monday’s practices.

• Tonight is WOODbridgeSTOCK featuring Oella River Band - 6:00-9:00 pm. Buy tickets HERE.
• Wednesday 07/19: We have another Peace A Pizza fundraiser scheduled. Dine in or carry out 3:00-7:00 pm. Graphic attached. Please share it on your social media or text it to friends and family. If you or your family and friends can’t make it, feel free to make a donation (any amount counts!) to the team using the Venmo QR code below (this belongs to one of our Bluefin parents - Keith Tabor, last 4 -2049). 
• Wednesday 07/19: DEADLINE TO DECLARE AVAILABILITY FOR DIVISIONALS - Not every swimmer will be able to participate in this meet. We are only allowed to enter 3-4 swimmers per event so coaches will be looking at times and availability. Please go into SwimTopia and declare your swimmer as attending but understand that they may not be entered into events based on what the coaches need. If you have questions, please let me know.
• Wednesday 07/19: Don Schaub Novice Meet @ Five Oaks. THE ENTRY DEADLINE IS TONIGHT (SAT. 07/15) BY 11:49 PM. Your swimmer must have an entry time for the events that you sign them up for (it can’t be NT). Please double-check your entries. Lastly, your swimmer can only compete in 3 events max.
• Saturday 07/22: This is our last regular season swim meet and is also a home meet and our senior meet. This year we are celebrating 5 seniors! We need two jobs filled for next Saturday’s meet: Announcer and 2nd half 50/50 raffle ticket seller. Please sign up if you are able.
